Using the free tools
You may use the current calculators and keep or print their results for your quilting work. No account, subscription or purchase is required. The inputs you enter determine the result; sample figures are examples rather than recommendations for every quilt.
Measurements and material behavior
Check units, usable fabric width, quilt dimensions, seam allowance and extra backing before purchasing or cutting. A diagram illustrates the selected calculation, not every irregularity in a physical quilt or piece of fabric.
Shrinkage, print matching, directional designs, squaring losses and longarm requirements need separate consideration unless the specific tool explicitly includes them. A rounded shopping quantity does not guarantee enough fabric for those additional requirements. Ask your quilter when the project’s requirements differ from the example.
Pricing assumptions
The pricing worksheet uses your entered material costs, labor, overhead, fees and target percentage. Example rates are illustrative, not observed industry rates. The result does not establish a market value, a buyer’s willingness to pay or take-home profit after costs and obligations you have not entered.
Availability and saved work
The tools provide calculation estimates without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or a particular finished result. Browser storage can be cleared or become unavailable. Save a cutting list or printed copy when you need to retain a plan, and recheck the arithmetic before making an irreversible cut.
